Gifts of Stock and Securities
Gifts of appreciated stock, bonds or mutual fund shares are a simple way to benefit our children, young people and families while making a decision that may have special tax advantages for the donor.
How to Make a Stock Gift
If your stocks and securities are held in a brokerage account, you may instruct your broker to transfer the shares to Good Shepherd Services. Please fill out our Stock Transfer Form and contact the Director of Development at Good Shepherd Services (212-243-7021 x 302) to facilitate the transfer and sale.
We request that you send a copy of any letter of instruction to our office. Since your name is not attached to the electronic transfer, it is important that you notify us in advance so that we may properly acknowledge your gift.
