GED Programs
GED programs help older adolescents, who have not succeeded in traditional high school settings, to pass the General Educational Development exam and complete their educations.
Our GED Programs
Good Shepherd's GED programs provide services that have not traditionally been part of GED programs. We provide students with attendance outreach; assistance with family problems, socialization, and other issues; crisis intervention; advocacy; job readiness workshops; internships; cultural and social activities; peer support; and assistance with post-GED academic or vocational planning.
Our two full-time Access GED programs also incorporate the Learning to Work program, provide graduates with a full year of follow-up support, and serve as a learning lab for the larger GED instructional community in New York City.
