Cristal
In June Cristal Cruz, a student in our partnership school, Brooklyn Frontiers High School, became the first person in her family to earn a high school diploma. Cristal struggled in school and was significantly off track when she learned about Good Shepherd Services and Brooklyn Frontiers. With 180 students, Brooklyn Frontiers gives teens entering the 9th grade two or more years behind the resources and confidence needed to graduate High School and become their best selves.
Today, Cristal is a student at Bronx Community College, is active in our LifeLink program and is working in our East Fordham Academy after school program where is a much admired group leader and a role model to her students!
