Good Shepherd Services’ In-House Barber School

We have launched our first ever in-house soup-to-nuts vocational program in East New York (ENY), Brooklyn. In February, we launched our Barber School out of the Blake Avenue building in ENY. Our Master Barber was hired to train participants to pass their Barber Apprentice exam and complete 300 hours of barber training. We have an on-site “shop” and travel to local partners like shelters and group homes.

Once the participants have completed training, they will be placed in one of four shops we have partnered with to work and continue their hours towards their Master Barber license.
