Midnight Madness NYC Raised Over $818,000 for GSS Programs

The city’s smartest puzzle solvers have been crowned! Congratulations to Regenwolk 3000 for earning first place in Good Shepherd Services’ Midnight Madness NYC 2025. The Citadel Insecurities and Midnight Marauders finished second and third, respectively.

After 13+ hours of racing across ten iconic locations from Coney Island to the Wavertree at South Street Seaport, they emerged victorious. Nineteen teams from firms including Goldman Sachs, Barclays, Bridgewater, Citadel Securities, PDT Partners, and Quadrature competed in this Houdini-inspired challenge, raising over $818,000 for Good Shepherd Services.
Thank you to every participant who brought their strategic thinking, quick wit, and competitive spirit to support NYC’s youth and families. You made magic happen.

Here’s how the magic unfolded:

  • 42 volunteers powered the event from start to finish
  • 19 teams (114 players!) navigated 10 puzzle stations across Brooklyn and Manhattan
  • This year’s theme: The Life and Death of Harry Houdini
  • The first team crossed the finish line after 12 hours of madness. The last team, well, their madness continued for 14 hours!

Shout out to location sponsors Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation (DTCC) and Boxaroo.

Our deepest gratitude to Greater Gotham Challenge for producing another memorable experience. Every Houdini-inspired moment was crafted with precision, creativity, and pure genius.
