Good Shepherd Services in ‘Our America: In the Black,’ Exploring Financial Health in the Black Community

Good Shepherd Services is excited to be featured in the Disney & ABC special, Our America: In the Black, sponsored by Microsoft Philanthropy! 

The special follows Darrell Booker from Microsoft Philanthropy as he travels nationwide, spotlighting the importance of financial empowerment and building generational wealth in the Black community. It’s a tribute to change-makers, spotlighting diverse individuals and organizations initiating real impact, including the Good Shepherd Services Economic Mobility team. 

Ramon Reinoso, our Economic Mobility Manager, reflecting on his participation in this special and highlighting the inspirational story of Angel Mercedes, shares:

“It is an honor to be featured, but my greatest privilege is being able to elevate the story of one of our superstar participants, Angel Mercedes. Angel is an alumnus of several GSS programs, including Research & Service High School and the Social Justice Leadership Program, in conjunction with the Ben Simmons Family Foundation & Rise. He truly represents the best of Good Shepherd Services, and watching his growth over the years is a living reminder that ‘We See What Can Be!'”.
