Become a foster parent
Fostering a child may be one of the most rewarding experiences of your life.
Thousands of children and youth are removed from their homes and need a family to temporarily care for them. There’s great need for loving people to open their hearts and homes to these kids while they’re in transition. That’s where you come in.
You will never have to worry about bearing the responsibility of temporarily raising this child on your own because we are here for you through the entire journey. Our dedicated and responsive team of social service professionals are highly qualified and incredibly compassionate. We want to see you succeed as a foster parent and see children flourish while in your home.
As part of our commitment to high quality services for all young people in our care, we provide training, encouragement, and financial support to all foster parents. We also make sure to keep birth parents involved in the process to create a holistic, well-rounded environment for the young person.
Our network of foster parents come from different walks of life. We encourage people from a wide range of ethnic, economic, and educational backgrounds to apply to foster.
Our foster parents can:
• Be single, married, divorced, or in a same sex relationship
• Have a modest income
• Have other children
• Be a working parent
• Be a senior citizen
• Live in a house or apartment
• Have no parenting experience
We try our best to connect you with a child or children that you will feel most comfortable caring for in your home. As a source of additional support, some of our current foster parents are available to discuss their experiences with you.
This is your opportunity to help ensure that the youngest citizens in our communities can thrive even when personal setbacks occur in their family. It still takes a village to raise a child and these kids are depending on us to do our part.
