Good Shepherd Services’ Groundwork for Success is a four-year program that prepares East New York high school students for success in high school and college. Groundwork for Success begins to work with young “scholars” the summer before ninth grade and continues to help them develop throughout their time in high school.
Students are tutored in English, Algebra and other Core Curriculum subjects to make sure they receive top grades and graduate. We also prepare students for college by providing SAT test preparation and practice tests, and opportunities to go on college tours.
Our success coaches help students with the college application process and provide financial aid counseling for you and your parents. Financial scholarships are also available for top performing students.
Program participants attend the program after school, four days a week for three hours, from 4:00pm to 7:00pm. During the summer, participants have the opportunity to visit college campuses and New York City attractions with the program.
