NY Brooklyn Nets Partner with PJACC

Brooklyn Nets stars Dennis Smith Jr. and Day’Ron Sharpe surprised 35 youth basketball players at the Prince Joshua Avitto Community Center in East New York. The Nets partnered with Good Shepherd Services to host the clinic where Smith and Sharpe coached the aspiring hoopers. It was an invaluable experience for these young athletes to receive hands-on training from professional NBA players. Sports clinics conducted by professional players provide youth with coaching and mentoring they may not otherwise have access to. The kids learned new drills and techniques directly from the pros, which they can now incorporate into their practice routines.

Community outreach events like this clinic are an excellent way for teams like the Brooklyn Nets to give back and positively impact the next generation. The kids created memories that will last a lifetime while gaining knowledge to improve their game. The Nets certainly scored points for community relations!
